Coronavirus Update:

How We’re Serving Our Community

At The Denver Ophthalmology Center, nothing is more important than the health and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and community. We hope we’ve been able to show our dedication when it comes to treating you and your loved ones’ eye health needs with compassion and a personal touch. Because of the health risks posed by COVID-19, we had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close. With that in mind, over the last few months, we’ve worked hard to make sure that when we did reopen, we could do it in a safe way.

We’re happy to announce that the day has come, and The DOC is now open! We have modified hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The office will continue to be closed on Wednesdays and Fridays until further notice. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at (303) 991- 9662.

How We’re Keeping You Safe:

Although these are challenging times, we’ll continue to go above and beyond to make sure your vision receives the treatment it deserves. Under our new guidelines, we’re able to offer the same compassionate care you’ve come to expect from Dr. K and the team at The DOC while also ensuring your safety at all times.

  • To limit the number of patients in the office as well as maintain proper distancing measures, appointments will be spaced out. Our waiting room will also be adjusted to eliminate unnecessary exposure.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (masks, gloves, gowns, and face shields as needed) is required for all staff, masks are required for patients, and we’ll be doing temperature checks for everyone who enters the office.
  • Rigorous cleaning and sanitizing protocols have been put in place to keep everyone safe. This includes cleaning exam rooms, equipment, and other high-traffic areas before, during, and after every appointment.

What to Expect at Your Appointment:

You’ll notice some changes in place when you come in for an appointment at The DOC. If you are a high-risk patient, we recommend that you postpone anything that is not an emergency or an urgent appointment.

We ask that patients please remain in their car until their appointment begins. We prefer that you come in for your appointment alone, but special accommodations can be made in some cases. All patients will be required to wear a mask. If you don’t have a mask, we’ll provide you with one. We’ll also be taking every patient’s temperature and asking some wellness questions to screen for viral symptoms.

Since we’re changing our appointment schedule to accommodate appropriate social distancing measures, there will be fewer appointments available. If you need an appointment now or in the foreseeable future, we encourage you to make one now so that we can get you scheduled as soon as possible. Please call us (303) 991- 9662

Thank you to all our patients for your cooperation during these times. We can’t wait to see you again!
